As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, our annual term-end potluck with the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language classes at the Musqueam Community Centre included some special performances and tributes. Thank you to the Musqueam community for generously hosting us, and to everyone who joined us for this special occasion. We were so glad to have some of our alumni in attendance, including Sesmelot (Fern Gabriel) and her hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ cohort from the Kwantlen First Nation! The hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ teaching team is proud of all the Musqueam community members and UBC students who have taken our language classes over the past two decades, and have given back to Musqueam in meaningful and creative ways.
